The catch is that we put their logo (not a ad banner) on the site, along
with a short blurb along the lines of "This site is hosted by NaviSite".
The hope is to drive business to them.  NaviSite provides datacenter
quality co-location services for web servers and modem pools (POP's)
across the country for ISP's.  We would either link to their site, or two
a mutually agreed to page that details what NaviSite has done for the site
and can do for other companies/ISP's that run Linux.  I work with
NaviSite, so I know it is a good company, so I have no problems driving
them business.

As for my goal: Make a cool Linux support site running on cool toys.  :-)

I would much rather get corporate sponsors then sell ad banners to insure
that the site is as fast as possible to as many people as possible.  If
it's not fast, it doesn't matter how good the content is- people won't use
it.  It's not that MIT doesn't have good connectivity or that the systems
SEUL can provide aren't good, it's that I have more growing room for the
future at NaviSite; which means one less thing to worry about later on.

I agree though that the limiting factor is good people- I've learned that
the hard way a few times with the RHLUFAQ.  But I've also found that you
shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.
