If not, has anyone heard from him recently?

I sent him an E-mail about a week ago about the user object.  No response. 
Basically, I think I'll need him to write it.  I'm starting to understand the
object/DB design of things but not *quite* enough yet to write one of the
objects.  :-)

Anyone else out there besides Jason *really* understand this stuff?  I admit,
for me it's a TOTALLY different way of looking at databases.  I'm looking
forward to see how it works out, and learning it more, but I think I'm gonna
need to see more code, mainly code that uses it, to understand it all.
