Not a solution to the problem, but I have mail2news code in beta that
will strip the Mixminion delimiters, (if configured to do so).

Try sending a mixminion message to:
mail2news-YYYYMMDD-news.group@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Where, YYYYMMDD is the current date and news.group is the group you wish
to post to.  Multiple groups can be seperated with '=', as in:
mail2news-20060412-alt.test=alt.foobar@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
