Peter Hendrickson has made a script to find dependencies for Mixminion
and run it in a chroot jail. IIUC, it's only been tested on netbsd,
but it could probably be adapted to other platforms. The URL is:
http://www.wiredyne.com/software/chrootbuilder.html
If anybody wants to make this more cross-platform, that would be very
cool. If anybody can come up with a nice process to roll this into
the standard distribution without rolling a full Python dependency
chaser into the repository, that would also be very cool.
