- Make sure the hostname DNS entry has a short TTL (you already did that)
- wait until the former, longer TTL has timed out on all nameservers
that might have cached it.
- shutdown mixminion on the old host
- copy it over to the new host (including keys, and most importantly
replay logs)
- Update the IP setting in the config (this will no longer be necessary
once all mixminion setups out there use something that will route by
hostname only)
- Possibly update ListenIP in the config if you have set it.
- start mixminion on the new host
- update DNS to point to the new host
- increase the TTL if you are convinced that everything is fine.
