jabes:
I am adding a new Icon Preference setting to the Appearance settings page.
The preference will allow you to select either "Show Tray Icon and Dock
Icon", "Hide the Dock Icon", or "Hide the Tray Icon". Assuming the new
feature is approved, you will be able to select "Hide the Tray Icon" to
disable this icon on the system bar in OSX.
Landry314 requested "Hide the Dock Icon" functionality in #2383: "I
suggest you add an option in the program that will enable users to toggle
hiding [the dock icon]"
I agree that a set of monochromatic icons for the OSX menu bar would be
more appropriate for 10.6. If you'd still like to see this added, please
open a new ticket specifically requesting that someone design these icons.
I'd be glad to add an appearance setting that allows users to select the
monochromatic icons if someone would design the icons.
Code/patch to follow.
