Comment (by gk):
As I said it turned out that TorLauncher (and HTTPS-Everywhere) were not
loaded when Tor Browser started (about:addons only showed NoScript and
Torbutton). But at least TorLauncher was still in the profile dir (in
extensions/). Then, she/he really downloaded our bundle, the sha256sum
matched. The log on start-up showed only something like
{{{
Launching Tor Browser Bundle for Linux in /path-to-tbb/tor-browser_en-US
(process:3815): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion
'sys_page_size == 0' failed
}}}
And the error console showed only the error wrt the Disk Space Watcher
service (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=895964).
She/he is still in #tor to help us in case we have some debug builds to
test. I currently lack ideas of smart ways to debug this. Maybe a try-
catch block around every component to be sure to catch all exceptions? Or
do you have something better in mind?
