 Yes, this is quite some amount of code and complexity. Good catch,
 although I am less worried about OS X as the preference
 (`dom.presentation.discovery.enabled` seems to get obeyed). I've fixed
 this in bug_18821_v3 (https://gitweb.torproject.org/user/gk/tor-
 browser.git/commit/?h=bug_18821_v3).
