(I think) the Traceback regarding the Socks5Error is unrelated to your
scanner freezing. I wonder if the problem is related to postgres. I have a
couple of fixes in my testing branch that correct BwAuthority's usage of
sqlalchemy/elixir session objects that might help.
If your scanner does freeze up again, could you provide the output of #ps
-u postgres u ?
