 That's absolutely minor, but dropping the '--' would make it easier to
 spot options that are command-line only and those that are configuration
 options.

 That's more or less the construct I came up for the Nagios check. See the
 Tor class (lines 40-117) and its usage (lines 165-174) on
 https://paste.debian.net/215197/ ; so this would fit my use case.
