What's the purpose of relaying over the wire bogus requests that will fail
eventually? What's the purpose of waiting for the exit relay to fail DNS
resolution and report back, when it could have been immediately stopped
locally? What's the purpose of messing input validation and acting on data
that should have been discarded?
Or did I miss something?

As the above syntax shows, `.0x2a` is not a valid TLD: `.com` is.
