 bit comet tries to send UDP traffic over Tor. Tor doesn't support UDP.

 This log shows nothing about possible problems you had with college's
 proxy.
 Try to surf some sites using [https://www.torproject.org/download
 /download-easy.html TBB]. Does it working for you?
