Comment:
I ran into this problem after sticking TBB 3.5 on another Linux system. I
found a solution [http://askubuntu.com/questions/178410/unable-to-run-tor-
browser-bundle-not-even-in-terminal here]; TBB was not the problem (but
this was the top startpage result for the error code).
If you copy a TBB folder onto a memory stick and then onto another
computer running Ubuntu (or possibly any GNU/Linux system), file
permissions will not transfer properly. You need to copy the supplied .tar
archive onto the new system and extract that locally.
If you want to keep some settings across browsers, e.g. installed Firefox
search plugins, then you can copy the 'profile' folder under 'Data' from
the old location to the new, or if you only want to save bookmarks then
you can export and import them as a .json file as you would with regular
ol' Firefox.
