 AFAIU, nixos doesn't promise reproducible builds (binaries) in general
 (yet). many of the packages are indeed reproducible build, and the devs
 are keeping an eye on reproducible builds... but what is done today is
 only that the '''inputs''' used for building a package are hashed, and
 that hash is used as keys in their binary cache (which can be turned off),
 but it's not guaranteed in general (yet) that the binaries are
 reproducible.
