Comment (by joebt):
Tor browser is again starting w/ part of the browser toolbar and window
sizing buttons off the monitor. By default, TBB starts in a partial
screen mode. The only way to access the hidden window resizing buttons is
to grab the bottom edge of browser window & drag it up some.
Then the top of browser screen automatically "lowers" a bit, where the
resizing buttons are visible.
I'm fairly sure this is due to setting my Windows DPI to greater than
default (96). For a while, it was set at system default size & there was
no issue w/ starting TBB UI height. As soon as I changed the Windows DPI
to > 96, the TBB opening size was once again too long.
See orig screen:
https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/attachment/ticket/9268/TBB%203.5%20title%20bar%20sometimes%20hidden.jpg
I checked a clean install of TBB in new folder (no addons, plugins) -
still showed the opening screen height problem.
Note: TBB is the '''only''' app I use (out of many) that has a problem
opening the correct size when the system DPI is > 96. Why is that?
Vanilla Fx, nor any other prgm have this problem (large corporations or
one man developed apps). Is there something inherent about TBB that
doesn't handle non-standard DPI settings?
