 Right. A simpler approach would be to not register for huge events in the
 first place. We don't even use the consensuses received via those events,
 we're just logging them to disk. I'm not sure if that will change some
 day, but maybe we can then do the more complex approach with two
 controller connections. Will think a bit more about this and add a ticket.
