Comment (by leeroy):
Will do sukhbir! I performed some brief testing to verify some findings.
Among them I confirmed if no accounts exist then disabling Torbirdy will
reset the first-run condition. On the other hand if accounts already exist
then disabling TorBirdy does not normally reset first-run. The downside of
this is that the setting of the imap "draft folder" to "local folder" will
only occur correctly if the TorBirdy first-run condition is active. This
is because the code which performs this task only executes with the first-
run condition. Suppose a person using TorBirdy adds the addon together
with a single IMAP account. It won't matter if that account was added
before or after TorBirdy because the first-run condition will be
activated. If they then add a second IMAP account the first run condition
will not activate and the code which sets the drafts folder will not run.
Now--suppose that first account was instead a POP account, this is worse
in that any IMAP account will not have it's draft folder set unless the
first run gets reset.
I'll create a ticket for this after testing it some more. In addition I've
noticed the following problems:
a) if a user exits from the first-time account setup wizard and tries to
add the accounts using the menu the details don't populate the frame and
so cannot be properly configured manually
b) the account creation wizard disables automatic detection of settings
(for privacy) but then leaves the user of TorBirdy on their own to notice
setting up smtp properly (which isn't immediately apparent)
I'll perform further testing with the latest version before proceeding.
Thanks!
