 That branch looks fine and you can merge it.

 For what it's worth, Python 2.6 is still on OS X 10.6.8, which isn't that
 old. I think our Mac build is already building using a newer Python 2.7,
 so that should be okay.

 Shipping argparse.py is definitely needed for OS X 10.6; see the saga at
 #8549.
