Im using a Samsung tablet (SM-T310), Android version 4.4.2, Firefox
browser. I went to the Tor website, followed links to 'Download Tor
Browser'. There are 4 different .apks available for download: 'aarch64',
'x86_64', 'arm' and 'x86'.
When i downloaded 'aarch64' or 'x86_64', then click the 'open' button (at
bottom of browser) it displays the error message: 'package cannot be
parsed'.
The 'arm' and 'x86' packages both downloaded and installed successfully.
The 'x86' version crashed immediately upon starting Tor, so must not be
the right version for this tablet. The 'arm' runs fine but cant connect to
Tor network & open browser. Which is why i was wanting to try the
download/install the 'aarch64' or 'x86_64' .apk's.
The reason i was attempting to download one of those versions from the Tor
website is that i'd installed Tor Browser app from the Play Store and for
a week it has never been able to connect to the tor network & open
browser. Ive used the app successfully for months until about 2 weeks ago
then its never been able to connect since. I'm in Crescent City, Ca, the
only ISP here is Spectrum (formerly Charter).
