 I believe you're using the page wrong. The page doesn't probe your
 version. It just sends you content.

 That is, I believe what you have done is set your homepage to the "Tell me
 that I'm up to date" page.

 I believe TBB 2.x fetches
 https://check.torproject.org/RecommendedTBBVersions behind the scenes,
 compares its version locally, and changes your TBB's homepage if necessary
 so the next time you start you'll go to the "Tell me I'm not up to date"
 page.

 That said, the recommendedtbbversions list includes 2.3.25-11.

 *That* said, all of this is moot since TBB 3.x does it differently and
 better.

 (I don't think this is a Tor Check ticket either.)
