 What is the use case for this? I would expect a system that needs to
 update other components and packages to already have a way to do this kind
 of thing. And we already have automated updates within Tor Browser (the
 user will be prompted to restart the browser to finish installing the
 update).

 That said, it is possible to download the correct MAR file and invoke the
 updater program to apply it. The process should be similar to the one
 described here:
