IMO if you have the ability to memorize v2 addresses by heart, you are
already not an average user. Average users just google most things they
try to visit.

That said, I do share your concerns, and that's why I mentioned that
finding a solution to the onion name issue is a priority before v3 can
go mainstream (or even v2).

Agreed. We are indeed a long way from deprecating HSv2 :)
