I've heard just the opposite. I suggest you read the section on which
Firefox extensions to avoid in the Torbutton FAQ:

So, you should _not_ use them together. That's a shame, though. I really
like the site-by-site basis of disabling/enabling (and most importantly:
temporarily enable) javascript. For me the incompatibility between
Torbutton and NoScript is reason enough for not using Torbutton, but
NoScript and a plethora of other extenstions instead. But I usually
don't worry about the more arcane attacks that Torbutton mitigates, but
when I do I temporarily install Torbutton.
