[tor-talk] Tor, Torbutton 1.4.5 and Web Proxies(Privoxy, Polipo).New model? Same security?

I used to have the following setup with Tor: Tor,Vidalia,Torbutton,Privoxy,Firefox.With recents Torbuttons Privoxy is completely disregarded (I do not know about Polipo).My question is: Does this mean a new model and is it better(more secure) to avoid http proxies? Does the new torbutton handles it all?
