	C.

: 2) Is it possible for paranoid users to manually increase the circuit

This FAQ entry answers your question in an obtuse way.
	http://wiki.noreply.org/noreply/TheOnionRouter/TorFAQ#VariablePathLength
There is no way to change the path length via config file.

: 3) Is it possible to find out what servers are currently running via the
: vidalia GUI? The servers listed there are only the knows ones, not the
: running ones, right?

Vidalia should list all servers the Directory Authorities agree
are running. I believe vidalia uses a red X image for servers
	not running.

: 4) Is it possible to choose an entry server manually?

Yes, but this restricts your anonymity.
	http://tor.eff.org/tor-manual-dev.html.en lists all of the
options available for the config file. The option you want is
	EntryNodes.
