the latest i5 / i7 with AES-NI can accelerate ... AES.

the SPARC T2/T3 can accelerate:
- AES (ECB, CBC, CTR, CCM, CGM, CFB modes)
- Elliptic Curve (ECDH, ECDSA, including key generation)
- MD5, SHA1, SHA256, SHA384, SHA512
- Hardware entropy source
