here is a list that shows which browser can play the video  on which 
platform without flash player:

Browser/Xubuntu/Windows
-----------------------
Tor Browser/ no / yes
Firefox /yes /yes
Opera /yes /yes
Chromium,Chrome /yes /yes

Isn't it strange that only Tor Browser on Xubuntu cannot play it. Maybe 
it's the "old" firefox Tor is using.
