Hi Mike,

Included in the Changelog for 0.1.1.6-alpha is:

    - Retry streams if the exit node sends back a 'misc' failure. This
should result in fewer random failures. Also, after failing
from resolve failed or misc, reset the num failures, so we give
it a fair shake next time we try.

I have fewer issues now that I'm using the latest alpha release.

But this is still a problem overall, yes. The problem is that these Tor
servers really do believe that the host is unreachable, either because
their firewall lies to them or their network is otherwise screwed up.

And typically this behavior only shows up when the Tor server is really
heavily loaded -- meaning it works for the operator typically, so it's
hard to track down what's going wrong.

Anyway, let me know if the new version helps at all, and we'll go from
there.
