Re: [pygame] Distributing pygame games for non-Windows platforms

py2app for OS X. You need to have a mac with pygame set up to package it.

Hi list,

A bit of a noob question, I'm afraid,

I am planning to package my in-dev game for Windows using py2exe, but am
unsure how best to release it for other platforms (I'm pretty much an
exclusive Windows user myself),

For other platforms, is the best approach to simply distribute the source
and datafiles, with a README.txt saying e.g. 'you need Python vx.y, Pygame
vx.y and Psyco vx.y to run this game - if you don't have them already,
download them from the following websites...'?

Cheers
Brian
