RE: [pygame] Nehe Tutorials

Cool, we now have at least 3 distinct versions of these tutorials :) .
There's the ones on the NeHe pages (almost direct translations), the ones in
OpenGLContext (heavily rewritten for the object-oriented environment), and
these ones (fairly direct translations, but with PyGame). I think Rene
Dudfield may have converted the lower-numbered ones as well (he definitely
did some of the higher-numbered ones).

I'm thinking a page that links to all three versions of each available
tutorial would be very cool.

Thanks!
Mike

Subject: [pygame] Nehe Tutorials

hello guys, one of our fellow users, Paul Furber has sent
his conversions of the first 10 Nehe Opengl tutorials for
pygame and pyopengl.

anyways, it is good code, and for those of you new to
opengl but wanting to learn, its a good start. each tutorial
slowly builds on the previous one. by the end you have
textured transparent polygons with lighting and fog.
(all that starting from a white square :])

the tutorials have been switched from using C and GLUT to
python and pygame. stuff like window management, input
handling, and texture loading is all handled by pygame.
the rest is pyopengl.

at this point i'm not sure where to put them, but they
are available in the pygame ftp contrib directory
