i've written a quick test that can draw an isometric area.
it has support for things like raised tiles and viewing the
scene from any 4 angles.

i was playing with support for extra features like walls
that sit inbetween the isometric tiles, that's where it
started to not work so well. i believe david clark was
able to take it a step further.

anyways, the code is not the best tutorial. it is pretty
generic and abstract, as i was thinking it would be good
for a much larger game project. (which means it isn't as
straightforward as a clean example :] )
