I vote for new_font() and new_rect(), different
meaning for different case is confusing to me.

how about if it's a tuple it gets converted, automatic
rgb(a)mapping like surfarray. I agree mostly but once
in a while I like colors to be an int rather than a
sequence. is it overkill to let both work?
