Well, I'm in charge of the schoolforge-discuss list in so far as when there are
administrative problems with it I try to resolve them, but I certainly exercise
no control over what goes on there except to exhort subscribers to be polite
and civil towards one another. As to adding a link to that list, that's
something the Schoolforge members would have to agree on. The schoolforge-core
list is where just such questions as this are to be debated, so we're in the
right place. If you look at the Schoolforge Operating Procedures
<http://www.schoolforge.net/procedures.php> you'll see under "Responsibilities"
a process for managing the coalition. That's what we have to use to answer
your question. Let's have some more discussion on it, then ask the member
representatives to voice their opinions.

Well, SEUL/edu is working on a project to do something similar to that, except
that we're not thinking of setting up any sort of physical distribution
network. I agree with Roger, that any tangible donations should go directly to
Schoolforge member organizations or individuals where they can have the
greatest impact. Donating to Schoolforge itself wouldn't be very useful at the
moment, as we really have no unmet expenses. We could invent some (like
funding a PR person or something), but they would then become recurring
expenses that we couldn't guarantee to meet regularly. On the whole, I think
it's better to contribute at the lowest possible level.
