Changes between beta6 and release:

added stickerbooks
fixed a few of the desktop icons (added icons for Tux of Math and Tux
Typing)
fixed the OSEF logo on the index.html on the cdrom (owl's feet were cut
off...)
fixed a few entries in the F2 boot screen on the CD.

Purged anything releated to GIF images due to patent issues (should go
away soon, IIRC), ran VRMS (Virtual Richard M Stallman), and found a few
Non-Free packages (most GIF stuff), and purged them.  Decided to keep
the non-free packages povray and craft (Chess engine).

ran a "prelink -a" to help with application load times, and an updatedb
to make sure the locate database was preped.
