[school-discuss] Apple adapts/distributes Noble Ape

I was contacted by a couple of engineers at Apple about getting the 
Noble Ape Simulation to compile from source code;

They asked permission to display the Simulation at Apple's World Wide 
Developer Conference in San Francisco next week. It will be displayed 
by Apple engineers, Nathan Slingerland and Sanjay Patel, at Session 
506.

The engineers have put in two weeks work to get a vectorized and 
threaded version of the Simulation running optimized on Apple's 
latest hardware. A number of their changes are also flowing into the 
active source too - helping non-Mac users as well.

Aside from the Session at WWDC, Apple will distribute the source code 
for the Simulation with Apple's developer tools for updated releases 
into the future.
