Linux I for Educators July 26-30 This class will give teachers the skills to use Linux for a variety of services, eliminating the need for funds for MS client licenses required by Windows NT/2000/XP servers. In addition to using Linux as a server, we will be configuring and using Linux as a desktop workstation. Each member of the class will receive a 6-disk CD installation of Linux Mandrake 10.0, plus a CD of "Extras", as well as a 1-inch thick packet of documentation. Linux II for Educators Aug 2 - 6 Linux II for Educators will focus on Linux Web & EMail server setup and administration The class will include the following topics. Batching in Linux users. The apache web server. Server side web programming with PHP. MySql and Postgresql databases. PHP and MySql and Web Forms.
