The problem with MS is (was?) "embrace and extend" tactic.

The company at large seems to be realizing the fact that they
adapt or die this time, seeing the cover named "Microsoft 2.0:
how MS plans to stay relevant in post-Gates era".
Large companies tend to have decent amount of schizophrenia
in total behaviour though.....
