[school-discuss] Dustyscript 1.0 [[announcement]]
Just wanted to let everyone know, I finally pushed Release Candidate A
out the door (about 20 days late..which is early for me ;-))
The main page for the project:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/dustyscript
The 'language doc' page ((some updates needed for 1.0...also..not the
most 'user/teacher' friendly))
http://dustyscript.sourceforge.net/langdoc.html
The 'main' webpage ((not too flashy))
http://dustyscript.sourceforge.net/
...
And.. an up-to-the-minute Applet (~225 kb .jar) that does 95% of the
language online at:
http://dustyscript.sourceforge.net/testapplet.html
((and for those who haven't moved on to whatever message awaits them
after this one:))
An example (out of same .jar) of the DDE (Dustyscript Development
Environment) -- minimal -- that 'ships' with Dustyscript.

While I have not actually written other language-conversions, 1.0 does
include the capability of writing a converter which will take your
natural language and convert it to English, and having Dustyscript's
interpreter call your converter before trying to run the program... This
will allow, hopefully (definitely by 1.1) a young child (target 8-10yr
old) not to be hampered if English is as hard for them as Pascal..
