[school-discuss] roll your own thin clients
Our elementary school is going to a Linux thin client architecture using a
combination of older PCs with disk drives disconnected and some new, mini
iTX factor, fanless thin clients that we will assemble ourselves for the
computer lab at the school. The goal over the next several years is to
move to an all-thin client architecture and support clients such as those
from Newnham Research (the NIVO, http://www.newnhamresearch.com/. ) The new
thin clients will have no disk drives. We're looking at some motherboards
from Shentech (www.shentech.com), does anyone have any experience with this
hardware, or have other suggestions for very low form factor, fanless thin
clients we can serve from LTSP?
Best regards,
Daniel
