Dear Sir,
National Center for Software Technology (NCST) is organising
Vidyakash
2002 -International Conference on Online Learning during 15-17
Dec,
2002. Vidyakash-2002 is being conceived of as a forum to
bring
together the various groups interested in online learning. A number
of
institutions around the world and also in India are active in
various
aspects of online learning, spanning development of
learning
management systems, content development, use of online
learning
technologies in education and online testing. However,
online
learning, as a technology, is still in its infancy as far
as
understanding of the various issues are concerned. It is important
for
the different groups to share experiences - successes and failures
-
and exchange ideas to take this technology forward.
Vidyakash-2002
expects to provide precisely such a forum.
The conference will consist of the following:
=> Invited talks by eminent scholars from India and abroad
=> Presentation of contributed papers selected based on refereeing
by
an International panel of referees
=> Exhibition by industry and academia
=> Panel Discussion
=> Tutorials: The conference will feature one full-day tutorial
and
two half-day tutorials.
The tutorials will be held on 15 Dec. All other events will be held
on
16th and 17th Dec., 2002.
