One thing I'm curious... why not move the site to SourceForge.net or
Berlios.de?  Free hosting, lots of goodies (bug tracking, email, mysql, etc.)

I can understand wanting _specific_ things that might not be available
on these services, or not liking one thing or another about them (people
often complain of SF.net's downtime, which I have also noticed myself on
occasion), but...  versus just _chucking the project in the trashbin?_

Since it's all GPL, CC, etc., perhaps someone with some free time and work
with the KToon folks to migrate the entirety of the site & codebase over to
one of those services.

Assuming someone with a big wallet doesn't satisify their cash need soon...
