[school-discuss] [Fwd: Schoolforge: Suggested resource]

I'm forwarding this to the list because it sounds interesting and possibly useful. Please evaluate these games and review them here for all our benefit. :)

Hi, I'm Sulan Dun, a former teacher and web developer, and I've made some free online educational games at FunBasedLearning.com which you might find interesting. They are various fun educational Algebra and Chemistry games that I wish I had available when I was a teacher. Please have a look, and if you find them useful, please feel free to dsicuss and/or link them on http://www.schoolforge.net or the mailing discussion list or mention them anywhere else you think they may be of value.

Here are the free online games available at http://FunBasedLearning.com <BLOCKED::blocked::http://FunBasedLearning.com>

Chembalancer - a game that teaches balancing chemical equations. Easy, intuititve, extremely effective, linked by NSTA's SciLinks program.

Graph Mole - an online tutorial and game to teach graphing points on the coordinate plane. Click "Introduction" for the tutorial or "Play Game" to go straight to the game where you try and pick the right coordinate to bonk the mole before he can eat all your vegetables.

Line Gem - an online tutorial and game to teach how to graph lines on the coordinate plane. Click "Introduction" for the tutorial or "Play Game" to go straight to the game where you try and pick the right linear equation so your dragon will fly the right line to get as many gems as possible.
