Using 286s for Linux-was Re: [seul-edu] RE: X-terminals

I used to telnet from DOS boxes to Unix machines.  You'd have full access to 
the CLI that way... if they're networked, anyway.  

I tried looking for information about X-servers on a 286, but nothing popped 
up... it's likely that the performance would be extremely poor, in any case.  

As Ben Armstrong just mentioned, the ELKS project for Linux on 8086/80286 
computers is not mature enough yet, but in the future might be an interesting
