I'll be on vacation and away from the internet (and telephones even)
from August 9 through August 24.  Within roughly the same period,
Karl Pena, Pete St. Onge, Harry McGregor, and Bill Ries-Knight
(folks I occasionally call on to help out when I'm unavailable) will
be absent for varying periods of time.  This isn't a big problem, as
there's not really a lot of day-to-day maintenance that needs doing.
However, when email comes to the mailing list from other than a
subscribed address (even if it's from a subscribed user) it gets
bounced to me as the list owner.  I then forward it to the list if
it's appropriate or delete it if it's spam.  What this means is that
during my vacation this forwarding won't get done.  So for those of
you who have seen your posts reach the mailing list under my name,
you should consider either setting your email so that it appears to
come from the address you subscribed to the mailing list with, or
unsubscribe from the list and resubscribe from your actual sending
address.  That way your messages will be assured of reaching the
list when I'm out.
