Excellent idea. There's an item on http://schoolforge.net/future.html
which is basically that.

It also happens to be what linuxhelpers.org is all about, but that site
isn't very useful currently. There was a thread about that here last week
(give or take).

It also is one of the things that Red Hat's education initiative is
working on. I think it's their main goal, according to the descriptions
I've read of the OSN project. You should contact emily@redhat.com about
this; she said that the new iteration of OSN (including this feature)
would "launch this Wed or Thurs".

We want to use/have/make/find the bestest cleanest coolest most useful
high-profile volunteer tracking service out there. And imo we really
don't want to have more than one.
