Re: [seul-edu] Samba CD server...
I have set up a linux box serving iso images of various cd-roms using the loop
device. It is fairly easy to set up on the linux side of things and all cds
that we have tried have worked so far. It is very nice to have only one file on
the linux machine per each cd.
SAMBA is being used to limit the number of users accessing the various programs
on this cd server.
I am serving them up off of a pentium 100, with 128MB RAM (I believe this is
true). I have not found a way to increase the number of loop devices to
increase past 7. Therefore I am only able to have 7 programs on each machine.
If you would like to know more please let me know.
