The purpose of this area is to assist the .org
participants in reaching out to the Linux community at LinuxWorld Conference
& Expo and providing them with the opportunity to promote their service.
It is a thank you to the community for all the work these participants
have done to promote this operating system without which LinuxWorld Conference
& Expo would not exist.

August 14 – 17, 2000 at the San Jose Convention Center
The following criteria must be met to be a .org pavilion
exhibitor:
- Your web address must end in .org
- Your business must be a not-for-profit organization; however, you may receive donations to support your operations
- Your mission must be to support the Linux and/or GNU community/projects in promoting the acceptance, use of and free distribution of Linux and/or GNU operating systems.
Participants
can be:
- a web site
- a research and development group
- a radio program
- a newsletter
- a not for profit distributor of Linux
LinuxWorld
Conference & Expo provides .org participants the following:
- 8’ x 10’ space on the show floor in a designated area ($4,800 value)
- Electricity
- Bandwidth
- Table and chair
- Carpet
- Booth cleaning
- Overnight perimeter security
- Exposure in marketing materials such as LinuxWorld Conference & Expo direct mail, web site
- On-site signage
- Access to press lists and attendee lists
- 50 free Expo passes for your customers
