[seul-edu] Notebook DTD

Hello,

Currently I take class notes using my WinCE device so I can have them ready
to print later. Each day and each class usually is put into a separate Word
document. This is fine for simple printing purposes but if I wanted to
publish my notes or use them for research it becomes a pain.

I'm proposing a new XML markup similar to DocBook that will help organize
electronic notebooks. I imagined perhaps one file per class that would be
divided into topics with each containing many tidbits of information. These
sections could then be cross-reference to other sections. For example if I
am learning about Thomas Jefferson and he gets a section in my notebook I
link to that info from the section relating to the Revolution and
Declaration.

I had even imagined allowing multiple students to merge there notebooks to
compile a central research database. This would be a great way to help each
other learn since everyone takes different notes at different times. These
notebooks could easily be printed in book or linked to the web.

This seems like a great forum to assemble this markup. Thoughts, comments?
