[seul-edu] More about mail filters

Just saw this on freshmeat:

The Anomy Mail Sanitizer

This is another mail filter that nullifies most dangers, like the other
one i submitted to the list (in fact is based on that one). From the
README:

"The Anomy sanitizer has the following advantages over
John's implementation:

Runs as one process (never forks).

Uses a more-or-less constant (and small, for perl) amount of memory.

The messages is parsed in one pass - no temporary files are created.

Complex MIME messages are completely decoded and scanned, so the
sanitizer won't be fooled by the bad guy Base64-encoding his attacks.

(Usually) adds a log to the message itself if anything is modified,
so
the user can see what was done to his mail.

Can support (almost?) any third party virus scanner.

The first four items on the list are ones I hope to compromise as little
as
possible in future releases, since they are the sanitizer's primary
advantages over more mature products such as AMaViS or John's ruleset."
