KNOPPIX 3.2 would be the official _real_ knoppix from Klause Knopper in
Germany. This is a more generic debian based desktop, it has many
network tools, tools you probably would not want in the hands of high
school or middle school aged script kiddies (Ettercap, ethereal, nessus,
nmap, airsnort, kismet, etc). All wonderful tools, for a network admin
type person, but not for the kiddies, especially the script kiddies.

Knoppix for Kids is based off of Knoppix 3.2, but it has been customized
by the Open Source Education Foundation to include many more education
and game related applications, and remove the network and security
releated programs. Also several of the menus and icons have been
change, the background, and the startup logo have been changed. Another
major change is that at this time it's english only. This will change
in the future.
